Of course this is general and nothing is totally necessary — you will look best in whatever you feel best in. These are just suggestions from the court. ✦
Think cozy and effortlessly comfortable for the drive up. Leggings, a soft tee, your favorite travel shoes — whatever makes a long car ride feel like a breeze. You'll be settling into the Airbnb for the night, so dress for full relaxation mode the moment you arrive in the kingdom.
Something comfy and cute that you can move in — you'll be biking through wine country on the West Cruiser Loop, and it's Colorado in July, so expect warm, sunny conditions. Light athletic or casual wear that breathes well is your best bet. For the Colorado River beach day at Riverbend Park, bring a swimsuit with a cute coverup, a towel, and a small camping chair if you have one.
This is the fashion moment of the entire trip. The court is dressing fully in theme — renaissance maiden, fairytale princess, medieval royalty, enchanted forest creature. Think flowing gowns, elaborate dresses, fairy wings, crowns, corsets, capes. The more dramatic, the better. This is your chance to be the character you were always meant to play.
Bachelorette shirts are mandatory court attire for the Palisade Rim Trail. Pair yours with shorts or hiking pants — whatever you feel most comfortable and capable in on the trail. Most importantly: wear your most reliable hiking or athletic shoes. The rim offers incredible views but deserves proper footwear.
After the hike, feel free to change into something pretty for the lavender fields. It's completely optional, but if you want to lean into the fairytale aesthetic for photos, this is the moment — flowy dresses, soft colors, anything that feels magical against a backdrop of endless lavender.
Keep it easy and comfortable — leggings, a workout top, and supportive sneakers. The class is low-impact barre, so nothing high-intensity. Bring a yoga mat if you have one — it's one less thing to rent or borrow at the studio.
Sunscreen — this is non-negotiable in Palisade; the Colorado sun is intense and you'll be outdoors most of the trip. Sunglasses. Athletic shoes for the hike and barre class. All your usual toiletries. A yoga mat if you have one for Sunday's class.
Please bring some snacks that you enjoy and would be happy to share over the weekend. The more the merrier — it's always better to have too much than too little at the keep.
Please do not bring nuts for any shared group foods or snacks. When in doubt, leave the nuts at home for anything the whole court will be enjoying together.
We want everyone to be their safest, most authentic self this weekend. For any events designated with a symbol ✦, please attend those sober. Your presence is the gift — we want you there fully and feeling good. <3
We aim to cost-share the majority of shared expenses — food brought to the Airbnb, group travel costs, Airbnb expenses, and similar things. Please contribute what you can, and don't hesitate to reach out to Gabrielle or the MOHs if you have any concerns. No one gets left behind in this kingdom.
